Do I need to submit an application for each scholarship?
No only submit one application.
What do I do if I need to add information to my application after it is has been submitted?

I accidentally submitted my application before it was complete. Will this affect my scholarship?
No, it will not affect your scholarship. Simply go back to the application and complete it again.
Why do I need my parent’s social security number on my application?
Your parent’s information is only needed if your parent is the employee of the company. This information is used to verify employment.
Can records and letters of recommendations be faxed or emailed?
No faxing, but any information may be emailed from the school to jkemp@tngrocer.org. Be sure your name and contact information is included in the email.
Do I have to mail the high school record request form to the high school?
No you may take the request form directly to the high school. Check with your high school to see which method they prefer.
I am in college do I still need to send a copy of my high school records and test scores?
Yes high school records and test scores are needed for all applicants regardless of the year in college.
I am a college freshman and applied for your scholarship last year. Do I still need to send a copy of my high school records and test scores?
Yes we need finalized graduation information.
Is it necessary to list a college if you are taking dual enrollment classes?
It is recommended you list this information so we know that you are taking dual enrollment classes.
I am a high school senior taking dual credit courses. Do I need to request a transcript from the college?
It is recommended that you have the college send a transcript in case it is not listed on your high school transcript.
Are all scholarship applicants notified after the selections?
Yes a letter is sent to all applicants whether they have won a scholarship or not. Everyone will be notified by April 8, 2011.
What criteria does the selection committee use to determine winners?
An impartial selection committee composed of educational professionals meet in the spring to select the winners. In evaluating the applicants, the committee considers:
- academic
- test scores
- extracurricular activities
- student employment
- reccommendations
Winners are selected largely on the basis of academic merit. There are several "Best All-Round Student" scholarships available.
